Strengths and weaknesses

Strong Workout Tracker

  • One of the quickest loggers to use between sets
  • Clean, distraction-free design
  • Reliable history and personal record tracking
  • Free plan limits saved routines
  • Slower to add new features than newer rivals

Strong is the veteran of workout logging and still one of the fastest. The interface stays out of your way: pick a routine, log sets, and let the rest timer and previous numbers guide you. Its Apple Watch app is excellent. The free version limits how many routines you can save, so regular users will want Strong PRO. There is no social feed, which some lifters will see as a plus.

MyFitnessPal

  • Massive database covers most branded foods
  • Connects with many apps and wearables
  • Familiar, easy daily logging
  • User-submitted entries are often inaccurate
  • Free version is ad-heavy with key tools paywalled

MyFitnessPal is the calorie counter most people try first, and its food database is the biggest reason to stick with it. You will find almost any branded or restaurant item. But much of that database is user-submitted, so errors creep in, and the free version leans heavily on ads while many useful tools sit behind Premium. It still works for basic calorie counting, with more friction than before.
