Strengths and weaknesses
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD
- Polished art and clear touch controls
- Two-hero battles add new tactics
- Plays fully offline
- Some heroes and towers cost extra
- Label allows tracking by identifiers and location
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis goes back to where the series started, and it's a fine place to start yourself. You build towers on fixed spots along winding roads, bring two heroes into every battle, and juggle spells as bosses push through. Eighteen stages with harder modes give plenty to master, and it plays without a connection. The catch: some heroes and towers are extra purchases on top of the price.

Clash Royale
- Quick matches with genuine tactical depth
- Frequent new cards, modes and seasons
- Polished art and easy portrait controls
- Card levels make spending a real advantage
- Tracking and lots of data linked to you
Clash Royale packs real strategy into three-minute matches. You build an eight-card deck, drop troops and spells onto a small arena in real time, and try to knock down your opponent's towers before they take yours. Heroes, evolutions and the Merge Tactics mode have kept it fresh ten years on. Card levels still matter, though, and spending speeds them up, so climbing high can feel like paying to progress.
