Strengths and weaknesses
TickTick
- Huge feature set for the price
- Useful free plan with habits and focus timer
- Apps for every major platform, including Linux
- Interface feels busy with so many features
- Fewer third-party integrations than Todoist
TickTick packs more into one app than almost any task manager. Alongside lists and natural language input, you get a calendar view, habit tracker, Pomodoro focus timer and Eisenhower matrix, on every major platform. The free plan is unusually useful, and Premium is good value. The trade-off is a busier interface than Things or Todoist, and fewer integrations. Great if you want tasks, time and habits in one place.

Craft
- Beautiful documents with almost no formatting work
- Fast, native apps on Mac, iPhone and iPad
- Easy sharing of polished pages on the web
- Database and team features trail Notion
- Best experience is limited to Apple devices
Craft makes writing and organizing notes feel good. Pages nest inside each other as cards, documents look polished with no effort, and you can share any doc as a clean web page. Daily notes, tasks, whiteboards and an AI assistant round it out, and the native apps work offline. It is strongest on Apple devices. The catch: databases and team features are lighter than Notion, and the best features need a subscription.
