Does it deserve #4?
The verdict
Overcast is the best podcast player for iPhone. Smart Speed trims silences without making voices sound rushed, Voice Boost evens out quiet hosts, and the clean interface stays out of your way. It's free with small ads, or a subscription removes them. It also avoids the heavy tracking common in ad-supported apps. The catch: it's Apple-only, apart from a basic web player.
- Smart Speed silence trimming
- Voice Boost audio leveling
- Apple Watch and CarPlay support
- Minimal tracking and data collection
