Strengths and weaknesses
Brolic
- Free with no ads and nothing locked
- Leaderboards by country, city and weight class
- Community voting keeps fake lifts off the boards
- No AI-generated programs or coaching
- iPhone and iPad only
Brolic is a quick workout logger with a twist: every lift has a leaderboard, worldwide or narrowed to your country, city or weight class, and it shows exactly what you need to pass the next person. Other lifters can vote on suspicious numbers, which keeps the boards more honest than most. Programming tools are lighter than Hevy or Fitbod, but logging is fast and everything is free.

Peloton
- Excellent instructors and production quality
- Huge variety of class types and lengths
- Follow along on any bike, treadmill or mat
- Pricier than most workout apps
- Best metrics require Peloton hardware
Peloton's app has the most energetic class library in fitness. You get live and on-demand cycling, running, strength, yoga and meditation classes led by instructors with real personality, and you don't need Peloton hardware for most of them. Production quality is excellent. It costs more than most fitness apps, though, and the best metrics are tied to Peloton's own bikes and treads.
